"ok, I have this like 4 year old gateway and all of the suden the hard drive wont work anymore.. I tried fixing it but i couldnt. So i went out and got a new hard drive today. When I try to format it to install windows, it says "Invalid Drive Specification" and "Error Creating File", or something like that.. what do I do to fix that problem?"

i guess i shouldnt be so hard on a 15 year old though..

how far have you come?

I did seem to do a lot of 'fooling around' with few results at the time I joined.....
Recently I assembled my own computer and almost everything went off without a hitch.
A stress test showed a defect in a memory module which was RMA'd ( I even learned a new non techie word ).
So I did come a long way since joining TSG.............

i have also learned...during my time here...that people see what they want to see depending on their opinion of something or someone.

Alright, let's get back on track here please. This is not a debate.

Odin, I don't think your post no. 29 was in keeping with the spirit of what the original poster intended and only served to start flaming back and forth so I've deleted it.

Let's move on please.

In the interests of Peace and Harmony, and re-enforcing the direction of the thread, I'll remove my comments also.
