Recently I assembled my own computer and almost everything went off without a hitch.
A stress test showed a defect in a memory module which was RMA'd ( I even learned a new non techie word ).
So I did come a long way since joining TSG.............
Speaking of opinionated ......

That reminds me that I've learned a lot about debate here.

Mainly, I've learned a lot about myself. Other people didn't surprise me as much as I did. They were pretty much what I expected.

Didn't see that last time. I didn't know if it was my post per se that caused the flaming back and forth. Not only because it wasn't quoted in any of the flames, but also because Odin was pretty general about them. Seems like it could have been directed toward any number of TSGers. That and there's a third reason - it really didn't start anything.

Also, for those who didn't catch that post of mine, I wanted to clarify that the first thing I said to Odin in that post was a compliment on how his English has improved since he joined. It has. My vocabulary has grown here also.

Don't remember the rest of that post, but I wanted to clarify that I wasn't flaming. Some of that post was continuing a conversation that wasn't relevant to this thread though. I'll give you that.

Out of curiosity, where/when at TSG did you learn that?

Just to clarify, your post was removed Bandit because of the quotes it contained from Odin's post that had been removed.

Well...it has been a huge learning experience for me, as it (TSG) is my first forum. I learn both technical stuff, and social stuff, as well as researching ideas.
But of course the whole of the world is a learning place to me still....there is so much to be stimulated by.
This place has basically kept my PC going, so I can do my own independant excursions and explorations with my work, learning and play.
I was trying to do that in real life, but it was more like painting with plaster....very slow, cumbersome, and frustrating. Cyberlife puts lots of stuff right at my fingertips.
TSG has sort of been HOMEPAGE and safe haven, and a place I put things in perspective at.
