#421 | Ex-Rams player sues Pats for SB XXXVI loss
Article here.
St. Louis Rams fans, former players, and lawyers (Boo Birds All) bring $100 M lawsuit against NE Patriots and Bill Belichick for so-called defrauding them all.
Even the NFL has stated there is no evidence to support their allegations from the 2001-2002 SB that there was any tape that was made of the walk through practice.
On Fox sports, coach Jimmy Johnson even said in a recent telecast - so what if a walk through was taped - there is no coach in the league who would agree that would be an advantage for a game.

#422 | Umm, Jimmy Johnson isn't exactly the voice of authority....He's one of the voices of Fox....However, I agree that this is dumb....I wonder if the fact that Georgia died recently and the kids, or whoever inherited the team, are looking for riches under pillows, and the former players are looking for headlines... | | Distinguished Member with 14,988 posts. | | Join Date: Sep 2003 Location: -71.45091, 42.27841 |

#423 | Hi ekim68,
The lawyer who brought the law suit said the perfect outcome would be for Belichick to admit "he cheated"!
The St. Louis Ram mentioned in the law suit was a rookie in 2001 that no one even heard of, and only three fans were named.
Looks like phishing for headlines!

#424 | Favre tells Packers he's retiring
Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre has decided to retire.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported that according to Favre's agent, Bus Cook, Favre informed Packers coach Mike McCarthy of his decision Monday night.
Mortensen said in a phone message Favre left for him Tuesday morning, the QB said he felt worn down by the demands of the game, adding that he and his wife Deanna thought anything short of a Super Bowl title would be a disappointment and not worth the mental wear and tear. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3276034 | | Distinguished Member with 22,318 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2003 Location: cornfields of Ohio Experience: Im gonna take my computer |

#427 | We in Cheese head land have mixed emotions. We obviously love Brett, but respect his choice to retire. Some of us hope he joins the QB coaching staff to teach what he knows, but not sure he'd take such a backseat! | | Distinguished Member with 3,910 posts. | | Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: NC, USA Experience: Learning everyday :) |

#432 | I am gonna miss Brett also. I am a Steeler fan as most of you know but man, Favre is the toughest SOB to ever play the game at his position. In 1995 I saw Brett take a beating from Greg Lloyd, Kevin Greene, and the rest of the Steeler D.
The man was bleeding from his nose, mouth, and they said an ear. He stayed in the game and as I remember the Packers won. I have admired Favre ever since. That Steeler D was tough, Favre was tougher.
