"A Glimpse of Angelize56"
This won't be a day to day, year to year, play by play of our lives together. Like a computer, I only have so much memory... and I tend to have errors and freeze up now and then.

I'll share what I have in storage. It may be my actual memory.... or memories of stories I have heard from family over the years. Either way... I hope to portray Marlene as I remember her.

If you read this and have questions or comments, please... ask away or comment! I'd like to know what Marlene's "TSG Family" is thinking and/or remembering.

Here it starts:

We were together from the start. We shared a mom, a dad, and 2 older brothers... and "some" memories. Marlene remembered more than I did! And she always let me know that fact! I think sometimes she thought that I had the beginning stages of Alzheimers or Dementia.... at the age of 30! I believe in fact that each person remembers what they find made an impact on them at the time it was happening. Or maybe they chose NOT to remember certain things either because they didn't want to... didn't need to... or just plain couldn't fit it all in their brain! We used to laugh about that issue over the years!

We shared our mother's womb for almost 9 months; our bedroom for 15 years; our family home for 19 years (I got married to my current husband at that time!); and our lives for "almost" 51 years. (Most of you know that Marlene died 7 days before our 51st birthday. )

I'm good at remembering dates though! And this will be a date that I will never forget.

Marlene and Darlene (me!) were born on a Saturday morning on July 21, 1956 to Harold (Johnny) and Christine. It might have been hot. It might have been cool. It might have been raining. It might have been sunny. I was too young to remember! (If I could ask Marlene, she'd probably know!)

Mom was expecting "A" baby. I was "A" baby.
My memory:
Mom's doctor didn't show at our delivery! A staff doctor attended the births. Four minutes after my arrival a nurse announced that a foot was extruding from the mother! They checked me again! I already had 2 feet and was fine! Oops! Here came Marlene... feet first into the world! Baby "B"! To say the least... wasn't everyone surprised?!!!!!! Mom, dad, doctor, nurses.......

That's all for now. I'll write more from time to time. Here life was lived in 51 years... so this may take awhile!

Maybe by sharing memories it will make us all feel a little happier
I hope so

Cool, mom! Good idea! You should also encourage anyone else who has a memory of her to add it to this compilation! What do you think? I have a "couple" of them!

I don't know Angelize56 very well, but what I do know is that she seemed like a very kind woman. One day I wanted an avatar on my TSG account. She helped me for about 1 hour just so I could get a flag avatar that represented my nationality. I thanked her so much for her kindess.

Hi, Sarah ~

Of course that would be nice! However.... family such as yourself will have to go through me first for editing! Can't give away too many family secrets you know!

Love,
Mom

Okay, Sarah.... or as I always say: Nothing or no one can embarrass me.. as much as I can embarrass myself.

Hi, Stoner ~
I got the idea from reading about Bruce's wife. I'm still reading his thread a bit at a time. Now that man can write!

Hi, Bruce!

I was just thinking the other day how strange it is coming here without Angelize's posts and happy greetings.

I didn't interact with her much just to say hello on passing threads really but it still seems quite empty ehre without her... reading your first post was really nice

Here's a link to Marlene's very first post. It was Rollin' Rog who was the first ever to respond to her. Then she got chided for starting a duplicate thread by brianF.

Sorry, Bruce ~ Not a whole lot of embarrassing stuff to report in all of 51 years! You may want to skip this thread!
Off the top of my head I can't think of anything that I would write (or want to!) that would embarrass either of us! As you will read (if you decide to look in now and then) we were just real people living down to earth lives... neither rich (I wish!)... nor too poor (we always had food, love, and a roof over our heads... thanks to our parents).
