ekim must be out celebrating
being a native son of the southland, and a Cal grad, i have a real love/hate relationship with the trojans....don't mind it when they do well, nor when they get branded.....like tonight.

the ducks were overwhelming

We didn't just beat them, 47 to 20, we wore them out. At the end of the third quarter, they were hanging their hands on their hips... A couple of things: The weather was good and only sprinkled for about ten minutes, (I was way overdressed), and didn't get below 45 degrees... Lots of good costumes in the crowd, speaking of which we set an attendance record tonight...We had 613 total yards against one of the best defenses in the country. And, I have to say that the crowd made the most noise I've ever heard at Autzen stadium...(And, I've going there since 1978.. )

Great win for the Ducks.

Big win for UNC this weekend also against Va Tech.

But Iowa, Florida, and Texas continue to roll and so a one-loss team having title hopes appears to be a long-shot. Florida will be the only one it appears with a regular season top 10 opponent left (in the SEC championship game - LSU or Bama). Big games for one loss teams coming up next weekend in Bama vs LSU and Penn St vs the Buckeyes. I'd like to see both Oregon and Georgia Tech move up in the polls. For the latter, it's good to see the good ole option play being a big part of their offense.

I'm sure we'll be discussing the merits of a playoff again this year.

I'd like to see a do-over on the Oregon vs Boise St game.

FYI... we played USC 2nd game this year.. but seriously.. they have not been a top 25 team once this year... i honestly feel like we have days we might not be either... but ive watched a few of their games since.. They are horrible!! Next year maybe.. but this year the qb is just too young for all that!
