I watched a good part of the Michigan game before going to the Duck game. Appalachian St. surprised me with their speed and endurance....It just goes to show you that you can't take anyone for granted...BTW, our Ducks won today and I was very impressed with the Houston quarterback...If that guy stays healthy, then he's gonna set some records...

I watched most of the Clemson-Florida State game. Clemson clearly dominated the first half, but in the second half, FSU started to get things going....But, in the end the son beat the dad.

Yeah, I thought that Clemson was going to give that game away. They hung on at the end though. Good game to watch

I think he has one more season if they do bad this year. He did have a lot of starters leave, so that is one thing on his side. If he can salvage the year and come out with a not terrible record, he should be back

Yeah, I heard some guys saying he could possibly go 1-7 to start the year

I think he is a brilliant coach. I just think that Notre Dame has a huge "tradition" of wanting to be the big dog team, but haven't lived up to that lately. Even last year, they had a good record, but got humiliated against Michigan and USC

Well they used to get the 'cream of the crop' on 'blue-chippers' out of high school. Nowadays, everyone is sharing a piece of the pie...

Did I hear that Carr was retiring at the end of this year? I thought I heard that before last weekend's surprise...

Yeah, that's true. College football has changed a lot since then For the better I think.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did. The first game of the season definitely didn't help his cause.
