I'm a little bit suspicious about Jason Castro.........It almost seemed like he intentionally tried to blow it and get kicked off......he's seen the obligations that the "winner" must live up to.......maybe he didn't really want to be the "winner"......just look at Clay Aken.........a person who came in second and has gone way further than any other winner......and also look at Chris Daltry.....hmmmm, maybe the goal of the smart contestant is to make it to the top 3 and then get kicked off........ Then, all you have to do is go out and produce your own album and make millions, and not be the "American Idol".
In all fairness though, I do recall one "winner"....... Carrie Underwood........that did alright after all of her obligations were met

I guess the rumors I heard may have some truth to them after all. I was hoping it was just gossip. It must be bad if they banned him from being backstage.

Does anyone remember when David sang "You're the Voice"? Simon said to him afterwards "i'd be very surprised if you chose that song yourself". Apparently, Simon's comment was a shot at David's father. I didnt understand it then...I assumed the contestants were picking their own songs so I couldnt figure out why Simon thought David wasnt picking his own songs. Makes sense now, especially if the judges knew that David's father was being too pushy behind the scenes.

I feel bad for him, too.

I've noticed that David frequently doesn't seem to be able to articulate what he's feeling, now I understand, if he's got someone second guessing his every breath. How sad that his dad can steal the moments of triumph from him.

I remember the scene in Akeelah and the Bee where a son triumphantly breaks away from the control of his father, and becomes his own person. It was a thing of beauty.

After reading about what an overbearing father David A. has, I want him to win more than ever now........maybe there would then be some distance between the two (David and his father) with the touring schedule they would immediately put him on. I'm not surprised at all though after seeing all the YouTube videos of David performing at countless auditions for all kinds of shows. This dad is probably something like Joe Jackson, the force behind Michael Jackson.....and look how he turned out

Or, maybe it would be better if David A. lost, then maybe the pressure would be off the kid .
Who knows? I just hope the dad doesn't take it out on the kid if he loses.

What a terrible message to impart on your child "without me, you are nothing".

That's what I fear would happen. It would be all David's fault.

Now I do!

Though I wonder if now the dad is off backstage would he perform better... maybe not if someone else was choosing the songs...

Still there is something about D.A. that is a little creepy.

You guys have got to watch this!

While looking for AI You Tube clips, I saw one by a little girl named Connie Talbot who wowed Simon on "Britain's Got Talent" so I watched the clip....the 6 year old was amazing so I watched some more and found the show's finale. Some guy beat her so I figured he must be good so I went and found his audition clip.....talk about stunning! I got goosebumps all up both arms. He is so unexpected....and the judges all acted like they wanted to roll their eyes when they heard what he was going to sing....but man man man.....what a shock they got! No wonder he won!
