They just sound so dated...you know like the 70's disco/early bebop music
Ashes......what do you like about Blake? I'd like to get another perspective on why people like him.

#99 | I love the beat boxing. for me.. in the middle of a song.. to be able to bust out in that and then right back to singing, i think he is very good at what he does.
of course you have to like what he does in order to like him.

I guess it depends on your style of music that you like. In fact some of his songs does not have the beatboxing... I think the song he sang does not, but I guess for show he added it in.

#104 | Haven't been following AI closely this year. From what I have observed, IMO, the remaining contestants are very talented. As to the loser last night. I can see why he lost. He sounded off-key to me. I like this part of the contest better than the beginning humiliation cycle. | | Distinguished Member with 19,130 posts. | | Join Date: Nov 2002 Location: Upstate NY Experience: enough to know better |

#105 | I thought for sure that Kristy would go. I love country but that was the old country/western type of song...while I like that kind of style, I thought it was a bit much country for American Idol, imo.
Sorry to see David H. go....but he had a way with his eyes that bugged me, lol. Petty, I know but I couldnt get past him waggling his eyebrows all of the time when he sang.
Big sigh of relief when David A. got to sit down. I was really worried after he forget a line of his song. Poor kid! I hope to see him come back strong with a nice ballad next week. I think i'm changing my mind on him needing to do some upbeat songs. He totally makes you all caught up in the slower songs that he sings. Surely thats not a bad thing, is it? He is amazing for 17 years old...wow.
About Tuesday's show....Chekeezie (sp?) was my favorite! It really is going to be tough to pick who will win this year. They are all very good singers. I will make a very early prediction and say that so far, I think David A. and Carly will make it to the final 2. But if David cant step it up and sound just as good while doing faster songs, he might not make it.
