#17 | Allowing the sheep population to continue purchasing drugs[such as valium] for medicinal purposes a great way to insure that the tax income will be only increasing and not decreasing[because the more deficient the people are in omega 3,the higher the occurrence of stress and other diseases, hence greater the need for drugs for temporary health improvement. The key word temporary. If the cure is never publicized greed will always be satisfied.

I don't use foods with hydogenated fat. I use olive oil and a spread instead of butter. I also take cod liver oil. I found a spread with an olive oil base that I like. It is called Olivette. And amazingly it is the most inexpensive one! My cholesterol was up, and not wanting to medicate I asked my doctor to let me make diet changes. I went to a class and learned a lot of things and made some changes and in six months I was back to normal. Many of the things I learned in that class also apply to diabetes. | | Guest with n/a posts.

#20 | Genuine philosophers--lovers and seekers of wisdom--have always sought for an understanding of the ultimate essence of all reality, never being content with mere opinion within the realm of sensory objects.
For most people, faith in ordinary perception is total; they believe that they see, hear, taste, smell, and touch a "real" world "out there" with unquestionable truth. They assume that reality is as they perceive and conceive it and to them the ordinary world-view ("consensus reality") is not only acceptable but preferable to any other they might consider. They believe that their view of reality is correct because for the ordinary events of life their perception is accurate enough to allow them to avoid running into tall buildings and anticipating that the sun will "rise" 2 in the morning without fail.
Part of "consensus reality" is the belief that a lone person 3 can discover the nature of physical objects through his perception of their external and internal physical properties. "Truth" is conceived to be a sort of ready-made thing which can be grasped by an effort of the individual thinker, and readily transferred and communicated to others.
We've discovered a great number of difficulties with this "common sense," empiricist view of knowledge in our previous studies. Aside from those difficulties, we find that we cannot discover the nature of genuine humans 4 in the same way we can detect the nature of physical things because genuine humans are entirely different in their essence from merely physical things. Humans, because of their extraordinary nature, may be described and defined--understood--only in terms of consciousness.
Sub-Humans Can Be Understood as Physical Objects
We must recognize that members of the homo sapiens species can devolve to become completely sub-human in nature. The terrifying result of the current destruction of our culture by a deranged gang of thugs is that the mental incapacity of masses of humans no longer allows cultural knowledge to be passed from one generation to another. Within the last several generations, essential cultural knowledge has not been transferred, including how to think, how to read and write, and how to relate effectively with others. The ignorance of the current masses is particularly calamitous in the areas of social knowledge, leading to an easily manipulable citizenry.
Since sub-human brains are mere combinations of infantile beliefs and emotional patterns, they can be easily programmed and controlled. The devolution of mortals to a sub-human state was eloquently described by Boethius in 524 http://www.new-enlightenment.com/dia..._essence.htmCE. | | Guest with n/a posts.

#22 | Odin, as fascinatingly intriguing as that post is, it doesn't have too much to do with Diabetes. While the natural world usually does have a cure for illness and disease procured from diet and lifestyle, there is no cure for that which one was born with. What I'm trying do is help those who have no other recourse such as adding fatty acids to their diet or exercising more. | | Senior Member with 1,132 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2003 Location: Winnipeg, Canada Experience: varies from day to day |

#24 | As a healthcare professional I can assure you if there was a cure for a pancreatic disease in which insulin hormone is slow or non productive we wold be using it. The associative complications of Diabetes Mellitis and Insipidus cost far more then any tax break or surplus the government will ever make. Being a Diabetic does not just mean your pancreas does not work properly, it means you are now suseptible to various other complications, ie; peripheral neuropathy, atotrophic visual changes, poor skin integrity, hypertension etc... to my knowledge ( which I think is quite broad in the field) I have yet to see diagnostic proof that Omega 3, 6 or 9 fatty acids can cure this.
Education is the best opportunity we have right now! The more you know about yourself and the disease the better!! A cure will come, we have come such a long way in the medical field..does not mean we don't have a long way to go... Take whatever steps necessary to educate yourself and find things that work for you and your body...
With kindest regards and heaps of love......( my family is afflicted by the big D)

#28 | Bump for a good cause.
I think that these types of fundraisers are important... not only because of the money that ultimately goes to the cause... it's also important to support the people who are putting themselves out there for that cause. | | Distinguished Member with 4,566 posts. | | Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Austin, TX Experience: In what? ;) |

#29 | I was hit by a car while riding today. I'm okay and not even bruised, but now have to get a new crank, pedals, brake line, rims, tires, and tubes.
Please, watch out for bikers. Don't pull INTO intersections, DON'T block crosswalks, look BOTH ways when pulling out of a parking lot no matter if you will be going with traffic or not. Just think, you may be hitting me next time you don't and while some of you wouldn't mind that ( ), the damage to your car will be substantial. This guy has to replace his front door, front quarter panel, and possibly his hood. With paint, that's $2000+ for being ignorant of your surroundings.
On another note, in case you are unaware, I get absolutely no money from this and even had to pay to take part on top of the donations. Supporting me does not put money in my pocket, instead it helps me meet the fund raiser requirements.
