Sorry...but I'd pass on this glowing food...no matter what the explanation!

Glow-In-The-Dark Meats? No Worries

POSTED: 8:20 am MST November 17, 2005

SYDNEY, Australia -- An Australian food agency is trying to quell fears about glow-in-the-dark meats.

In a statement released Wednesday, the New South Wales state Food Authority said the glowing phenomenon is caused by a harmless light-emitting bacteria that is naturally present in most meats and fish.

"While most of us would understandably be shocked to see our food glowing, it is important to remember that the microorganism responsible for the glow is not known to cause food poisoning
," the authority's director general, George Davey, said in the statement.

Pregnant Woman on Way to Baby Shower Dies

Friday, November 18, 2005 3:58 p.m. ET

SALEM, N.H. (AP) -- A pregnant woman driving to a surprise baby shower was killed in an auto accident along with her unborn child, officials said.

Krista M. Raymond, who was eight months pregnant, was in Andover, Mass., on Thursday when another woman pulled out of a day care center, and their cars collided, authorities said. The other driver and her three children suffered minor injuries.

Really sad Angel... I wonder if the other lady is at fault and if so would she be liable for 2 deaths?

Another thought... would they have been able to save the baby and do a C-sec, since the baby was due in only 2 weeks?

Tidus....under the new fetal death laws...if there is one in NH...she could be held responsible.

I'm thinking Krista sustained fatal injuries and was probably dead along iwth her child before help arrived....and if her injuries were in the abdominal area....baby may have died from injuries too....very sad either way....so young....her first baby....too sad for me....

I don't know...I'm afraid I'd demand exhumation of the ex-husband's body and toxicology tests be done.....very suspicious!!

Powerball Winner Found Days After Death

Saturday, November 26, 2005 4:24 p.m. ET

NEWPORT, Ky. (AP) -- A woman who won a $65.4 million Powerball jackpot with her husband five years ago was found dead at her home overlooking the Ohio River, where she had apparently been for days before anyone found her, police said.

Virginia Metcalf Merida's son discovered her body Wednesday. Police were awaiting autopsy and toxicology results before announcing a cause of death.

Hi HS: Just odd they both died so soon after winning! I'd test for toxic metals...arsenic.....unless someone clever used potassium....with no trace left!

Then again...the deaths could just both be natural and a coincidence!

I know! But then again...the hubby could have poisoned himself by accident...or the wife poisoned him and he died quicker than her...or they were both poisoning each other and what went around came around....or.....
