A BOY of 11 collapsed unconscious minutes after starting to play a violent computer game.
Jack Tinn was taken to hospital having apparently suffered an epileptic fit while playing Resident Evil 4 on his PlayStation 2 console. (Why was playing it in the first place?)
The game, described as 'one of the most frightening and exciting experiences you will ever have', is
marked for users aged 15 and above. (Angel, take note

)
But the boy's mother and father, both teachers, say the dangers of such games should be made more clear to all ages.
Resident Evil 4 features scenes of exploding heads and gory battle scenes including what is described as 'an escape from a village filled with Texas Chainsaw Massacre extras'. (and it's rated 15?)
Jack's father claimed the hospital told the family that it had a similar case, involving a boy of the same age, on Christmas Day. (playing violent games?)
'There should be much better warnings on these games,' added Mr Tinn, 41 a maths teacher. 'When I looked for it, I couldn't find anything. (Was that before or after the seizure?)

Ben le Rougetel, a spokesman for Capcom, which makes Resident Evil, stated:
'It is a very regettable incident that has happened to this young boy,' he said. 'We're glad to hear he's OK.' But he added:
'The game is intended for people aged 15 and over. There is a warning within the manual for Resident Evil, as there is for all video games, which does talk about the potential risks involved.' Sony spokesman Jonathan Fargher stressed that parents should not provide their children with games which are classified for older age groups.
'We are deeply saddened to hear the boy hasn't been very well but there is
clear guidance in the manual.
'He was also playing a product that is categorically not aimed at his age group. That may also have been a factor.'
