CHICAGO (AP) -- The grieving grandmother of one of four children killed in a house fire last week collapsed in a church pew as the children's funeral was about to begin, and was later pronounced dead of a heart attack.
Verna Glenn, 58, slumped into the arms of family members as she sat looking at the small white casket holding her 6-year-old granddaughter, Marlese Glenn.

DUNEDIN, Fla. - A father fed up with his son for spending too much time on the computer, allegedly fired shots at the monitor, authorities said.
Joseph Langenderfer, 44, was arrested Monday afternoon at his home, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Langenderfer allegedly told deputies he was angry that his son had neglected the laundry and was spending all his time playing computer games.

PITTSBURGH - Police found a dead dog dressed in blue jeans, a T-shirt, socks, tennis shoes and a baseball cap on the rear porch of a home on Monday in the Stanton Heights neighborhood.
