I think I'll pass on the chicken pie... now, the bachelor eating life has been pretty much over for quite a while... and, soon enough, the rest of the bachelor life will be going bye-bye.

Tonight is church softball night, so it's easy tacos. Now, just forget about that Old El Passo and Ortega stuff you find in the packets in the store... chili powder, garlic powder, dry mustard.. finely chopped onions - much better. With my traditional Spanish rice, of course.

Their ribs are the best.

Oh, yummy, yummy! I wish I could find a good rib house here!

They were indeed good.

Have you ever made BBQ ribs in your oven? I can tell you how to cook them so the meat falls off the bone.

Sounds like a lot of work, but tell me how anyway.

Post number 54.

But I'll copy it & paste it in here for you ......

Bar-B-Que Ribs
Restaurant Style – In your Oven

Ingredients:

1 rack of baby back pork ribs (fully thawed)
I assume this would also work for beef ribs
3/4 jar (12 Oz) of Head Country BBQ Sauce (I have switched recently to Jack Daniels Original)
(your favorite BBQ Sauce can be substituted if you like, though Head Country is the best)
¼ cup water
Heavy Duty Foil

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Rinse ribs thoroughly with cool water
Place a large sheet of foil on a cookie sheet (will cook meaty side up)
Place ribs on foil
Cover both sides of rib rack THICKLY with BBQ sauce (Much of this BBQ sauce will bake away)
Pour water around ribs (not on them)
Wrap foil around ribs like a tent folding on top a couple of times
so steam does not escape.
Fold the ends tightly to prevent steam from escaping
Bake for 90-120 minutes.

Meat falls off the bone. MMMMMM

To get a more carmelized surface, bake for 90 minutes, uncover, baste thick with BBQ sauce and broil for about 5-8 minutes

left over ribs for lunch today, late, so I don't know what we'll do for dinner.

I plan to rent a movie after work, so maybe I'll just pick up some ice cream bon bons for the 2 of us.

I think I'll rent, "Taken". That should get her squeezin' on me before the bon bons are gone.
