Okay my friends and everyone reading...
Although I am a fairly new member here, I feel like I am part of this family already. I have been following this thread from the first post...
I think I'm going to jump right in and let a little bit of my common sense talk through my fingers if you all will allow me
Neb...
I didn't know what to make of your post the first time I read it...
Since this is the Random forum, I thought you had posted about your towel in a joking way...
We all like to have fun here, and I admit than I tend to post things with a light heart, and more than once have hijacked threads that were too serious

... not only at TSG, but in other places as well...
I have laughed looking at the pictures and reading all the responses you got here... those are typical responses in this group... You can see that everyone was joking from the beginning, and you even got one or two responses that were right on topic...
I'm sure no one wanted to offend you with their answers, and I can bet that more than one of these people thought the same thing I did in the beginning...

I know that once you spend some time here, you will realize that this is a great place to come and meet friends and let your hair down, so to speak
Now... going back to your towel...
If you really need some help with it... please allow my "grannie" side

to give you some points, and maybe you will finally be happy and dry
If your towel is new, you need to wash it in very hot water and laundry detergent, sometimes more than once...
New towels still have something called "sizing"... That is a product used on new materials to make them look crisp and new after they are manufactured... it prevents them from becoming wrinkled before they are sold, and needs to be washed out before the first time you use any towel, otherwise they won't absorb anything!
After the wash cycle is finished, make sure that you put it through an extra rinse or two to get rid of all the detergent...
DO NOT use fabric softener on towels!!!... it prevents them from absorbing water!... that might be your problem with this towel...
After washing it, dry it in the dryer
~without a fabric softener sheet! ~ or hang it outside in the sun if you can...
Another thing is to wash towels by themselves, as they leave lint all over the rest of your laundry

I usually wait until I have a few, and wash them together...
The next time you go shopping for towels, get one that is thick, and look at the label... make sure it says 100% cotton... if it has anything else , don't buy it... it won't do the job!...
Buy the best towel you can afford... that is the one thing where you can't go wrong and it will last you for years...
I hope that I have given you some help with my advice... If you remember the no fabric softener rule... you will love your towels!
Stay dry and happy... and come back to the forum so you can get to know us better...
