Hi Jack.

From the thread title I wrongly assumed it was started by somebody else, Lanmaster maybe, as more moonbattery evidence that global warming is a hoax. Then, When I saw your name, I checked the calendar to make sure it wasn't April 1. Failing that I suspect that somebody slipped some peyote into your fermented Agave tequilana juice.

Here's more to hidden conspiracies.
I'm not posting this in Civ Debate because it would merely upset them and they wouldn't get their work done for the day ..........

It being said that Americans, on an average, visit the shrink more frequently than those of other nations, does this mean that William R. Lyne doesn't have a shrink or that frequent visits to the shrink do this sort of thing to someone?

This is not a question, not even a rhetorical one, since I wish to keep within the spirit of not starting a debate.

Are you suggesting a neo nazi/space alien conspiracy focused at the mental health of American citizens?
Shocking.......just shocking I tell you !!

How can you possibly deny this, it's in print!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. An American citizen (naturalized), Nikola Tesla (an athiest and a capitalist), invented the flying saucer, before 1900, and reduced it to practice by 1915.

I do have to admit, I don't have a clue as to what 'reducing an invention to practice' actually means.
Anybody?
An interpreter, perhaps?

I didn't even know that Tesla was an athiest. And the dictionary gives no clue as to what that might be.

Maybe that's a euphemism for "he crashed it".

The barely hidden sarcasm does not cover the fact that you are heavily into UFO debunking. But your days are numbered.

Anyone armed with the knowledge of how debunkers operate can see common threads in the way they argue their points and counter them.

Dismissive terms such as ridiculous, absurd, trivial, or even pathetic are used to make the UFO believer seem ignorant and gullible. Science is used as the Holy Grail of reality, which bravely defending common sense against the unruly hordes of quacks and myth-worshiping infidels. Arguments are as abstract and theoretical as possible, but presented in a manner that makes science superior to any actual evidence that might challenge it, making such evidence seem to be completely worthless. They constantly reinforce the popular misconception that anything that challenges the status quo must be inherently unscientific.
