Not me. I turned off all the lights in the house, pulled the curtains and hid in the closet. Those little masked devils didn't get any of MY candy. .......

I remember once when I was a kid coming upon a house like yours, a huge bowl of candy with that "take one" sign. I stood there looking at that huge bowl of candy wondering if I could carry it, thinking how lucky I was to get the last one.

I just had a flashback to my childhood....My parents would take my brother and I to about 10 houses to trick or treat, back in the 70's (only people we knew). We were completely happy with our little baskets of candy. I remember going to my neighbor's house the next day to see what kind of candy she got....she showed me her closet and she had 3 big brown grocery bags full of candy. Her dad took her to almost every house in town. I was floored that you could "do that". I don't know how she ever ate all that candy. Lucky I didn't have that much of a sweet tooth back then, or I would have been ticked at my parents for stopping at only 10 houses!

When we were kids we'd go out first thing in the morning (when Halloween fell on a weekend) toting a pillow case! We'd fill that and either change costumes and hit the same places, or hit another part of town. We'd fill a few pillow cases on a good day! No wonder all 3 of us kids always had no less than 10 cavities each during every semi-annual dental visit ... ;-)
