some updates (as per the title) and PLSS mods dont add/merge this to the locked CANADA thread of mine which just got silly. thanks

We finally decided for me to immigrate. For thoes that need a refreseher.

Wife is employed (a senior manager for a logistics company), own house in Mississauga.
I'm a type 1 diabetic in telecoms. From the original processing/criminal/medical checks.
The initial application was agreed 14 days before the target of 45 days.
my final visa was agreed within 2 months (timeline was 2-9 months)

My concerns which have addressed was:

1> medications (free here), by wifes company covers 70% of my prescription charges, and when i get a job mine will cover the rest.

2> Money: sale of house, am hoping to have about CAN$300k



My main headacjhe at the moment is sale of house/transporting stuff etc.

I have to land before my visa expires in June, a holiday already was planned for March, thereafter I understandI can come and go for a certain time period as a Permanent Resident , whilst selling house etc.

ON the car front,now from what I have found out that age of car (91/ reg. in 90) that I only need a safety in check when it lands now obvous things I can think of

1> Speedo is dual kms/mph (though might see if I can source a KMP one)
2> headligh units I will need to source ones for LHD

Anything else?

3>I dont have side markers, although, thoes are piss easy

we have over here

1> Annual ROAD TAX
2> Insurance
3> MOT (every year, road worthiness)

what is the equivalent in Canada ?

am I likly to be really hit by insurance?
as RHD in LH country,
am I better to get say a boxster? or 968cab
although the prices for thoes seems quite high

NOT sure what I can get for her on sale here at the moment

Hi jay, not sure about any of your questions but I do know there is one requirement when you move to the Great White North. Saturday nights are a national holiday from Oct to June. You must watch HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA. If you don't they'll banish you to Buffalo, New York...oooooh nooooo.

Hope you enjoy Canada. I always liked the folks there.

now thats two people who've used the term "Great White North" does that refer to the snow?

my missus told me about Hockey, thats like soccer but on ice right ?

seriously though, she does corporate entertaing so they have a box they use some times, cant remember the team, but being missisauga, "Toronto Blue Jays" would that be right.

I am looking forward to play hard and working hard. !
