Change is not always comfortable
I am making some pretty major changes in my personal like that will have me travelling across the country, and perhaps internationally. So I will likely be away from this forum for extended periods of time.

I will ask Mike if he would like for me to step down as Community Moderator, but will be happy to remain in that context and help as I can. The decision will be his.

Anyway ... if you're wondering where LANMaster disappeared to, just know I may be eating some very strange cuisine in some crazy place outside my comfort zone.

I shall keep you informed as I can.

I don't particularly enjoy major changes, but this one is unavoidable.
It has been my sincere pleasure getting to know everyone here at TSG.

Best wishes, and Kind regards to all.

LANMaster

Thanks, Bro.
My company was sold out from under me.
I have offers from a couple different directions. It is a decision that I am quite grateful to have.

.... but I don't know if I really want to live in Waco Texas, or Shanghai China.
There's also 2 local options I am considering, but it would require retraining.

We'll see. I may interview at all 4.

Wow, Mike, we'll miss you on the forums while you're rearranging your life.

Sounds like there is a few major decisions and a lot of little decisions.......listen for the still, small voice.

Waco isn't all that bad. Not much to do besides maybe drink a lot

Shanghai, great city...but, I'm thinking you probably lack a lot on the language side

As to the "retraining" part, I'm gonna sit on my typing fingers

This probably isn't the thread for this, but, I'm gonna take my CD jab at you anyway

Hope you made out on that 401 K

Mike, I am quite sad to see you leave.

You may not know that you have been a very important person to me here.
Especially when I had my surgery and all my family drama, etc.
You were always so supportive and caring. And for that I am grateful.
I will truly miss you and I hope you can still stop by here. Please keep in touch.

*hugs*

Please come to Waco. That puts us 1 hour apart; 30 minutes 1/2 way for lunch.

You're an hour away from the metroplex. It's a pretty good place to be.

Best of luck in your new endeavors. If you do end up in the international arena you will come out much less conservative, which as Martha would say, "that's a good thing".

As I implied in my PM - you and Waco will fit better than OJ's glove.
