Thumbs down companies????
Well since people want to know about companies I have three that I would do know more business with . 1) Hewlett Packard the company I have a computer from I called with my problems of my computer and they treated me rude and wrong I paid alot for my computer and it did'nt come with what it advertised on the box it does'nt work as good as it should for a newer computer and now it's out of warrinty they can't help me so if I was you stay away from them . also microsoft there product are going down hill and when you try to get answers from them it's like trying to walk on water . then if you ever need to buy a vaccuum don't buy the eureka boss it is no good I hardly used it and the motor went out and it kept braking belts i had to drive an hour and a half to have it fixed and they only fixed the motor not the belt problem now the wheel burnt out on it and they have'nt fixed it . so these company are ones to avoid . katcole

Thx for your input katcole. And to think I had been thinking about a new HP...now I stay away from brand name computers. Only custom ones for me!

HP printers
Although I don't think I would buy an HP computer I have to admit, I like their printers. I bought the hp 1220C a while back and works absolutely great. It prints what looks like photo quality, it's fast, easy to use, and it was a really good price for a wide format printer. Don't discount and entire company just because they are not good with one product.

I had an HP DeskJet printer and it seemed every time I wanted to print with it, which is quite often, I had to clean the danged thing, especially the strip the cartridge carriage rides on. I got a Compaq (Lexmark) which I've been using since 1999 and I've probably cleaned it about three times. I'll stick with Lexmark printers. As for service, I know three different people who bought HP computers, two of them reconditioned, and all three had problems which were immediatlely corrected by HP sending them new parts. I have a Compaq Presario which has been a great running machine but the couple of times I had to contact support ended with no help whatsoever. (I seem to remember a Studebaker dealer around here somewhere.)
