Checking Out The 'World's Smallest Digital Camera'
Cardcam

Just checking out

And as it’s literally no bigger than a credit card (85.6 x 54 x 6mm), it fits snugly into any shirt pocket for the ultimate in convenience. Its sleek, smart and silver good looks also make it a must-have for the style and fashion conscious!

The Cardcam’s chip set features clever Autobrite™ technology, which enhances the dynamic range and automatically adjusts the exposure so that detail in both bright and dim areas of a picture is always crystal clear – providing the reassuring peace of mind that comes with total reliability. You simply point and shoot – with guaranteed results, every time.

Powered by a tiny (0.8mm), USB lithium polymer battery which recharges simply and quickly while you download your pictures onto a Mac or PC, the Cardcam’s colour CMOS image sensor has VGA resolution and consumes 6 times less power than other typical VGA imagers. And for such a small camera, it has a whacking 8MB of internal memory, and produces superb quality, web-ready images of 640 x 480 pixels at the touch of a button.

Compatible with Windows 98, ME, 2000 XP and Mac 8.6 - the Cardcam’s USB portal transfers your pictures straight onto the PC at maximum speed. The accompanying CD-ROM includes an excellent creative software bundle – ArcSoft Photoimpression 3.0 – which gives you the freedom to adjust, modify and edit your pictures, create calendars and photo montages, and to send them quickly and easily to friends and family via email.

The Cardcam has an automatic, energy-saving switch-off function, and an LCD display which clearly indicates the battery level, number of shots taken and the number remaining. It comes complete with USB interface cable, plus a very cool protective carry wallet in which you can also stash real credit cards. It works alongside the following PC software: Arcsoft, Photo Album, PhotoImpression and USB Drivers.

With its host of features, Oregon Scientific’s new pocket-sized Cardcam Digital Camera is set to make a big splash in the digital camera market, particularly with its attractive £79.99 price tag which offers excellent value for money. A winning combination, indeed!

I actually paid £59.97 & got 30 days to try first

Seems really cool, rather 'James Bond'

For those unexpected shots or just sheer fun it appears a good
company to my Fuji S304.
