A reliable web start up
Hi

After playing around with other peoples web content for years i've decided to set up my own site.

I wondered if anyone had some recommendations for a reliable domain name registrar and hosting solution in the uk. It will only be a domestic site, not for business.

I know I could find registrars and hosting myself but trust other members judgement and experience in the light of the recent spate of hijackings and downtime among providers.

I'd also welcome suggestions on who not to go to.

I use geocities for my site. Also, bravenet has awsome add-ons. These are both free.

websurfer.. i would assume hermes is NOT asking for free-ad based solutions to host a website...

For domains registering.. we use OpenSRS... (i think it is associated with Tucows..) We haven't had any problems with it...

As with hosting the website.. I don't know.
