DO NOT USE THIS WEBHOST!!! THEY HAVE NO SUPPORT, AND THEY DELETE ACCOUNTS FOR NO REASON. THE WEBPAGES DO NOT LOO PRFESSIONAL, THEY CAN'T, NOT WITH A FRAME TAKING UP 1/4 OF YOUR SCREEN!!! ALL THAT HARD WORK I DID, AND MY ACCOUNT WAS DELETED FOR ABSOLUTALY NO REASON!!! THEY SUCK, DO NOT USE THEM!!! IF YOU DO USE THEM, BACK ALL YOUR THINGS UP!!! YOUR ACCOUNT COULD BE DELETED AT ANYTIME FOR NO REASON!!! IF YOU GO TO THEIR SUPPORT FORUM, YOU WON'T GET ANY ANSWERS FROM THEM, NOT EVEN A 'WE ARE WORKING ON IT'!!!

Ok, I'm done screaming But seriously, don't go to them!

I use them for my PHP hosting and they are just fine. There is no frame that takes 1/4 of the screen. It only loads an ad about once per every 25 page loads, and its just a little bar at the top. Whether or not the pages look professional is up to the web designer. Surely they did have a reason for removing your account. What were you hosting on it? Did they send you an email saying it was disabled, or is it an error when you try to log in?

I was using lycos.co.uk All it was, were a collection of poems I wrote. The pages didn't look professional becasue of a frame that is 1/4 the screen size. But I am ready to try lycos.com. I just heard bad things about them, so I tried the .co.uk. But, that was worse than what I heard about lycos.com.

PS They didn't send me an email, one second it was up, the next, it was deleted.

I used the uk one because it supported php and mysql, and also let me have 50mb of space. There is supposed to be a frame on all the pages. I designed the poetry page to just have the links fit in one row at the top, on an 800x600 resolution. But, the frame screwed that up. I use 1024x768, but most computer users do use 800x600, that is why I designed it like that. Anyway, hewee, does Webshots let you host normal things? I thought it was just for pictures. Wait, your partially a photographer, nevermind

I have visited many lycos.co.uk pages and never seen an advertising frame on any of them.
You should use percentages in your web design so it will fit at any resolution.

Where? Maybe I have an adblocker I dont know about-but i see all other ads and popups fine!

All I see is about 10% of the time, an ad bar loads across the top.
Which yes, is pretty annoying, but hey its free and you even get mySQL.

If you are looking for another free, php host, use t35.com. I dont remember but I dont think they even have any ads.

Ok I reloaded my page about 35 times and I got the frame once!
Do you get it every time or something?
I had never even seen it before.

Maybe if you click on the up arrow in that frame it will go away.
