A review (recommendation) of sorts:
A nice
freeware program is the
Virtual Moon Atlas. This program allows the user to click on a crater or other moon structure and learn its name, features, etc. There are really too many features in the program for me to list here.
The current download link on the
web site is for ver. 1.6. I have had no problems running this program on my computer (Windows Me) and I've had the program installed for about six months.
A beta version of 2.0 is available (Have to scroll down on the web sites home page for the download link). I had the beta version installed for a while and it looks promising. With version 2.0 viewing the dark side of the moon in the atlas is an option.
In short this is a very nice freeware program. There are French, Russian, Spanish and Italian versions available on the web site. The default download link version is English.
If you are interested in the program do a search on Google to learn what others have to say about it.
I do not know the developers of the Virtual Moon Atlas. I just like the program.
