What is Blogger?

What is a weblog/blog?
A blog is a web page made up of usually short, frequently updated posts that are arranged chronologically -- like a what's new page or a journal. Blog posts are like instant messages to the web. Blogs are also excellent team/department/company/family communication tools.
What does Blogger do?
Blogger gives you a way to automate the blog publishing process with nothing to install, or HTML to learn yet, it still gives you total control over the look and location of your blog. You make posts to your blog by submitting a simple form on the Blogger web site (or using the BlogThis! button on the Google toolbar) and the results immediately show up on your site, with your design.
How does Blogger work?
Magic! Actually, when you want to publish something, you simply enter it in a form. When you're ready, you hit a 'Publish' button that will automatically send your new page to the web server. No muss. No fuss. Total control.
Is Blogger Free?
The basic Blogger service is completely free (though we do require a link back to Blogger.com to help spread the word).
What is BlogThis?
With the press of a button you will be able to create a blog post pointing to the web page you are visiting. If you select text on the page, the text will also appear on your blog post.
How Do I Get Started?
It's easy... First you need a Blogger account. You can create one using the form in the grey box on the right. Then you need a blog to post on. Click 'Create a New Blog', answer a few more easy questions, and you're all finished.
