ThinkPad v. Dell
I handle IT for a division of about 100 people in a big consulting firm. Right now, we have a whole range of different brands. Next year, the company's mandated that we standardize on either IBM or Dell. I'm going to get the sales guys in here to talk, but would appreciate any thoughts you all have.

We use Dells laptops here on a three year replacement lease. Every year one third of the laptops get replaced. Since the Dells are under a three year warranty they are always covered. They seem to run pretty good and when they do break Dell fixes them. Check into the warranty cost and how long the service from both companys is. Do both companies offer on site service? Good luck.
