Should I buy a Mac?
I'm thinking of buying a PowerBook G4 for its stability, light weight, and ease of use. Do any of you have one and recommend it or not?

Even though those G4 lap tops are lightweight and durable, I wouldn't recomend it.......however, as far as lap tops go, if you don't intend on doing much, the G4 will suit your needs. I wouldn't be able to survive with Mac OS. It wouldn't take long until I wouldn't be able to surpress the urge to throw it against the wall.

According to this site :

http://www.overclockers.com/tips1133/

You can always convert your Mac into a PC if you don't like it

They are easy to use, because they are made that way. They are error free, because everything is locked down on it. You can't customize or control anything like you can with a PC. But if you just want a PC to do word processing and simple internet stuff with, don't care about using mac OS, don't care that you can't tweak it so it works just the way uou want it to, then there is nothing wrong with a mac.

Personally, if you have the money, buy a Mac. I have both, and use my Mac 9 out of 10 times more. It does all that my PC does and more. The stability of it cannot be beat.

The best place for opinions on Macs are not from sites that are generally PC oriented. Hit a few Mac forums to get opinions from them, too, and then weigh both PCs and Macs.

Most folks who bash Macs have never truly USED one. Just my opinion.
