Thumbs up Need a new XP toy?
For about a week I have been testing the new "Mozilla Browser 1.7 and not only does it automatically download your favorites [called bookmarks] but it is faster
and more secure than IE. Since the disclosure of new flaws in IE the download rate of Mozilla has increased to 200,000 a day. I highly recommend it.

Actually, don't you mean Mozilla Firefox 0.9.2 for the browser? And yes, it is great. I've been running Firefox for about 2 months now and it has been fantastic. Liz

Liz, actually, I don't mean Mozilla Firefox, 0.9.0.2 ,which I also have run through its development stages starting with 0.8. I mean as I stated Mozilla Browser 1.7
which is more of a finished product than Firefox. Would suggest you try it. At this stage Firefox has to many bugs.

The Mozilla Browser works great, I like it. There's an updated version out, 1.7.1 due to a rare security issue, it was just released:

i got mozilla 1.5 last year and have been spyware free since.
switched over to firefox in feb. and liked it better, but the important thing is whether its firefox or mozilla you are safer than IE users.

How easy is it to customize.....if a user is trying to change, for example "internet options", is it the same as IE.

To customize the Mozilla browser for the most part you need to go into Edit\Preferences where they have just about every feature under the sun to configure. From Tools on the toolbar they also have options where you can control and manage your cookies, popups, and passwords etc.

It's not as flexible yet as IE is in the full screen mode, for example you can't autohide the toolbars from the browser itself, but other than that, especially as it relates to security it's ahead of IE in many ways.

Okay, I did try the Mozilla Browser over Firefox and it looks just like Netscape which I DO NOT LIKE!! It's too cluttered at the bottom with all these extras that just annoy me. It also loaded slower than Firefox, believe it or not. So I went back to Firefox. Liz
