looking for dvd drive advice..
I'm thinking of buying a dvd rewriter but I'm wondering which format is the better choice DVD+ or DVD-? Also any recommendations on what brand/type to buy would be great!

DVD plus is mainly backed by Philips, HP and Dell. DVD minus is mainly backed by Pioneer, Toshiba and Apple.

I'd get this one or something similar.
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...factory=BROWSE

It supports both DVD+ and DVD- discs and also supports the new DVD+DL (dual layer) discs. The dual layer discs are not widely available yet but by this time next year, I believe they should be about just as cheap as the 8x dvds selling now and hold about twice as much data. (8.5gb)
