buying printer ink...confused
We have an Epson Stylus photo RX500 and all but the black ink is out. Of course we find out that even if there's still some black ink we can't print because if even ONE color is out, you can't print or copy at all. Not going to go into what I think about this as there may be children reading.
Anyways, total to replace all from the Epson,Staples etc sites is around $90. This seems crazy so I'm wondering if anyone has had success with any of the refurb or discount ink suppliers or am I just asking for trouble. Thanks ahead of time.

Thanks, I can see their prices are very good. Any issues with quality? If not, I'm stoked!

I have used this company for several years and have had NO problems.
www.simplybargains.com
Their prices are excellent, shipping is good, specials and I prints many photos with this ink and have been complimented on the pictures.

Thanks so much
I am beginning to feel much better about our Epson. Right now it has this bright red exclamation point lit up on the top and is basically useless until I get some ink in there. It won't even scan. I may have to send Epson a love letter about their crappy way of handling products.

I have a "HP psc 2175 all-in-one" and it's a real "Ink Drinking Monster", especially when printing Photos. I've been using Office Depot's Ink Cartridges with great results. They're probably not as inexpensive as those from the places recommended here, but they're about $7.00 cheaper than comparable HP Cartridges and if you catch 'em on sale you're that much more ahead. Plus you get $2.50 off or a ream of paper when you bring back an empty Cartridge.

the problem with Epson is that if any cartridge goes out, out of six cartridges, you can't print, copy or even scan. Even if you want to use black ink only. If I had been a good consumer and checked into this stupid "feature" I never would have bought the printer. Honestly. And oddly, when I set the print settings to black ink only it still used the color cartridges and I saw them just drain away although I was supposedly not using them. Next time I will use my head and research the issue first. This is rediculous.
Thanks for all the help, I did order from Simplybargains and am awaiting my return to the land of the hardcopy.

Bassetman, got all caught up in that site you linked to. Maybe I will use them next. They certainly explained the whole remanufactured issue to me very well.
