Continue...
Hi, sorry I have known BSOD is blue screen of death. However, I never encounter such a problem on my pc since 5.1.5. Maybe it clashes with some of your system files, antivirus, drivers?!

Although FolderLock couldnt give the total security of your files. But u can try to use the feature of 256-Bit BlowFish encryption to protect your files and passwords. It's quite fast.

Anyone can introduce me a good antivirus software?

If you're looking for free AV, its Avast for me.

If you want more information though have a look in the security forums, there are lots of threads about AV in there.

Hi, I discovered a way to protect your files securely with FolderLock. Do you know Nero InCD? It's a software that makes your CD/DVD-RW performs like a floppy disk.

If you use FolderLock and locked files on the CD or DVD, Norton Commander (DOS) will not be able to view your files or even modify the files. I think nc.exe couldnt recognize the drive format. Cheep up

Now I protect my secret files on the DVD-RW. That's the fastest and the most secure way to protect my files, I think! It just takes 1-5 seconds to secure the 1-2 GB files.
So fast!

If you have any other way to break FolderLock or anyway (fast, within 1 minute) to secure your files.
Please tell me ok. Thanks

Foler Lock Program Question
1st time poster... sorry if I'm in the wrong place.

I've installed the Folder Lock program on my computer, but when I launch it. It freezes up and won't even let me enter the initial password required to access the program. Anyone got a fix for this?

Thanks

highly recommend that you create your own thread, as opposed to piggybacking others, as I had assumed this thread dead long ago. I would probably create it under 'business applications', but it may be moved regardless. Being buried in a thread 3 months old is not likely to get noticed.

fwiw, I have no idea how to solve your issue, so that is another reason to post in a new thread; get everyone involved.

but you may also want to read post number 8 in this thread. Maybe it will help.

Try reinstalling the program (folder lock) .. do not remove it first. Install right over the old version and in the same directory or folder.

Good Luck

Thanks Space Cowboy. I already recover my empty folder by using recover file program. Use the recover file program to search the directory where the folder last time located. (I already cut the empty file to other directory, so the program thought i deleted it).
the program recover most of the file.

If its 'Folder Lock 5.3.1', then thanks for the heads up, as it was published on the CD for NetGuide magazine (Issue 107, Febuary, 2006).
