Yahoo Widgets---Very Cool
I just downoaded Yahoo Widgets--widgets.yahoo.com. Very cool and look as good or better then the ones on the Mac operating system. Some little bugs but worth a look.

i used it back when it was still called konfabulator, but it was just too slow, and not enough or important widgets to keep my attention.. ah well.

Those little widgets made my computer act a little squirley when I tried using them
It does seem like a really nice tool though, if your computer is compatible.

I had never heard about these Widgets. I just downloaded them and played with them a bit, and they don't seem very useful. I only have the search bar and the weather module up on my desktop. The other ones didn't do much for me.

Check out the radio widgets---You can get all the BBC channels, NPR and a bunch of others. No need to go to the site, just click play.

Hey Michael, glad to hear you like him---but then again, most people I have met from the Netherlands are very wise!

I find them to be a complete resource hog. The most practical way to get your widget fix and still maintain performance is to just use 2 computers.

I found that an older computer with linux and your widgets works very well. Far more efficient than dual screens on one comp.

My roommate has one of the sickest setups ever: his XP machine on a 19", right next to his mac mini on a seperate 19". What a great way to use computers.

While widgets can keep you up to speed on the weather, i just prefer to look out the window...

I agree that do hog resources, but I only run them on my Internet machine--not my graphics one. My favorite Widget---definately the NPR radio widget.

Widgets (or my two cents)
Just loaded it. Weather only major centres. Not everyone lives near the big smokes.

Major problem - could use the Day Planner ( nice display) but it changes the dates and times from my Yahoo Calendar. So I changed them to reflect what what it should be. The Day Planner now OK, but now the Calendar is off. Next task - remove it.
