I just installed the google toolbar on my IE browser. I like it because:

1) It installs itself without necessitating a separate download/install routine.

2) When I visit my own site, the toolbar shows a "page rank" thermometer that gives me an idea of where my site stands in the google hierarchy

3) I can do a google search on JUST my site. This shows me how sadly out-of-date google is concerning my site.

4) I can click "page info" and google will display all the sites (the ones it knows of) that link to my site.

5) It seems NOT to slow down browsing to any discernible extent

6) IE "view" menu will quickly show or hide the toolbar.

7) The help is lucid.

8) Uninstall is right on the google toolbar (drop down menu). I don't plan to use it but I like knowing it's there.

9) And ... oh yeah ... it adds a lot of search power & convenience.

To have a look, goto...
