Thumbs down T-Mobile
Hey All,

Hey all,

I have 2 Nokia for 4 years now. No problems with the phones. It's the Cell Company that sucks !! (Long story short). I moved to Northern Arizona from Kansas City, Ks. area about 2 months ago. I called T-Mobile to have my phone # changed to a local number. I have been with T-Mobile for about 4 years now. Guess what folks ? No such thing.

I called them up & complained & told them people here have to dial long distance to call me. My sister & brother-in-law live next door to me and they have to dial long distance. I'm in the process of starting a Computer Repair Business here in town & people have to dial "long distance"..... I don't think so !! I told some supervisor at T-Mobile that T-Mobile had themselves terminated my contact with them (voided the contract.) I was promised a "local #. I have threated them with contacting the F.C.C. & F.T.C. I was told that if I decide to "cancel" my contract with them, it would cost me $200.00 ...cancellation fee. I told them that I have a message they sent me on my phone (still saved) and the times I and their representative talk.........promising my that my "new' number would be local !! Now.....I'm in a "bind"........switch carriers ( and lose $ 200.00) or what ??

I'd stick out the voided warranty they called, but switch carriers non the less.

I am very happy BTW with Verizon.

Olimbs,

Thanks for your responds, I'm still with T-Mobile , had a long talk with their "piss-poor" tech support. They are telling me that my phone # is "LOCAL". I have argued with this so-call cell company now for 3 months........I'm filing a complaint with the F.C.C. I was wondering.....does anybody else have any ideals ??

Thanks,

well, i have been with t-mobile for about 1 year now and had no problems with them. My girl friend lost her cell phone at one occasion, we called t-mobile to inform them about the loss of the cell phone so that the number could be blocked to avoid anyone using the cell phone minutes. The customer support was really helpful and swift. The number was blocked for about 2 weeks until we got the cell phone back.

Well, for your case, it sounds like those CSRs were not experienced or just didnt want to help you.
