Netscape 6.1
Has anyone tried Netscape 6.1? I tried 6.0 and it was a disaster. Went back to 4.75 with a lot of crashes, but better than 6.0. (I had used Netscape since its inception- even being one of those that actually paid for it!)Have started to use Opera and getting to like it for a lot of reasons. Is 6.1 any better? Worth the time to fool with it?

Netscape 6.1
Avsfan,
Thanks for your input. Surprisingly few (only yours) responses to this question. I guess most have given up on Netscape 6 with or without additional versions.

Hi, I tried Netscape 6 and hated it so I went back to 4.75. I now use 6.1 and find it miles better that 6. Just my opinion though, I know a lot of people that would rather stick with the 4.75

Netscape 6.1
Lisa,
Thanks for your feedback. I think I will be one of those that continue to stick with 4.75-- at least for a while. Much as I hate the frequency of lock-ups. I keep it on my PC, while I am getting more comfortable with Opera. Mostly for the e-mail part of Netscape.
It gets a little involved sometimes, as I am also trying Outlook for e-mail, but fortunately I have the time to fool with all this. (I had also tried Eudora, but there must have been conflicts with all those e-mail programs going on at once- so that was uninstalled.)
In a few months, I imagine there will be all kinds of comments about 6.1 and then I'll reevaluate.
