Angry "Greetings! Your Free E-Mail account is.....SUSPENDED!"
Within the past two months, TWO free web-based e-mail accounts from Techpointer.com and Xmail.com have suspended my accounts! I had used these services for a long time, but then they decide to shut me out without notice. I have lost ALL of the saved e-mail from BOTH accounts! The ironic thing is that I asked about Xmail.com's policy about informing users that they are going to shut down their site after Techpointer.com closed down! They never responded and then pulled the plug on my account!

Why is it that they cannot just give a little notice to their users BEFORE closing down! I mean, we could contact people to inform them of the change AND save some correspondence if necessary, but NO!

Now I only have one e-mail account operational. Fourtunately, they are more popular and stable, but I still worry. Web-based e-mail accounts give me freedom from alot of the spam and viruses of the ISP-based systems since my mail is viewed in HTML on the web. I am not totally immune, but I am better off. Funny I say that when the above happens!

(P.S.-I apologize for this rant!)
