Norton Internet Family Security 2001
Recently had an experience after downloading the recent URl updates and found that the Url load time upon entry into the internet became excessive. Upwards near 20 minutes! It is unfortunate the URL list has grown to this extent however
preventing the youngsters from clicking on some improper site
is important.
Anyway Current system requirements say 32MB of memory is required and 64mb of RAM is suggested. The answer that I received back from Norton/Symantic was that I will have to upgrade to a minimum of 128MB of RAM to shorten the load time
and since Ram is so cheap that is their final solution.
Bottom line is if you plan on using Family security make sure you have 128MB minimum on your system or expect very long load times.
