What Security Co. share their virus definitions?
I know for a fact that Kaspersky sells its virus definitions database on to other smaller anti-virus companies - but does Symantec sell its defitions database to anyone else?

Does McAfee sell its definitions?

The fact is that currently, there is no AN industry standard in place for naming viruses as their signatures become available between the vendors, although there is an effort underway to do so. Once the signatures are initially identified, the signatures might be shared between the AV vendors, but when the signature definition gets integrated into the AV implementations, then it may divirge somewhat with other AV definitions in their integrated form. Go figure?
