are they
actual files, or are you also trying to delete/remove some "software" because theres a big difference in how you delete/remove software. If it is just old files you want to delete, such as word documents, old pictures, etc...simply click on the file name, with your right mouse button, and select the delete option on the pull down window that appears, after you right click on the file..

If you are trying to delete a lot of files, located in 1 folder, once the folder is open on your screen, then click on the edit button, at the top left of your tool bar, then click on select all, then click on delete, they will all be gone.

If it is software, and not files you are trying to remove from the computer, then reply in another post here in the thread you started, and indicate the type/name of the software you are trying to uninstall.

By the way, once you are sure that your computer is absolutely virus/malware free, be sure to go to the windows website, and update your system to service pack 2, and all later security updates, for the best protection and operation of your computer. DO NOT INSTALL SP2, if you have any virus/malware on your computer, until the virus/malware has been corrected.

Welcome to TSG, and good luck

Hi and Welcome to TSG,
What type of files do you wish to delete? Is it documents and pictures, or programme files? Hopefully not system files?!

paisanol69,
It seems we're on the same track, and posted our replies together.

Hi there,

Well why don't you start from scratch and just reinstall the OS so you know what is in the systems. It takes sometime, but is the only definitive way I know of to be sure nothing is there that should not be. Then you can install the programs you want or need.
