New Brother Laser Generation?
Hi All-

I've noticed that the HL-2040 and HL-2070N seem to be being phased out and the HL-2140 and HL-2170WN are the replacers.

http://www.brother-usa.com/printer/B...aser_Printers/

My HL-2040 has close to 7000 pages on it now, and I have quite a bit of toner in it and another full cartridge for it.

Problem is, I don't really want to buy a drum for it, since that would cost more than the printer. Besides, although it's a nice, fast printer I'm looking into something different.

This one has impressed me, it's fast, cheap to run, and has never caused me a problem. Because of that, I want to look at another Brother.

I really like the 5250 DN. I played with it in Staples for a while and like the auto-duplex feature. I imagine that would save me A LOT of paper.

The thing is, I don't want or need to buy it yet. I wondered if a new generation was going to come out to replace the 5250 DN printer. If so, I imagine the price would drop on it like the 2040 price has.

Any idea if my assumption is correct?
