Solved: limited or no conectivity
im having problems with my linksys wireless g broadband router. it all started when i reset the router cause the internet was slow. now my laptop cannot connect to the router 100%. it connects but says problem. limited or no connectivity. any ideas. i don't know what you need. i reset the router again reset the cable modem nothing. the main computer is wired to the router and it has internet. speed is 54.0 Mbps signal strength is excellent. im confused. it says renewing IP address then says failed to get IP address.called tech support don't have free wireless phone support anymore cause it expired so if i want it i got to pay $40 for a extra warranty.

ok after a hour with tech support and spending $29.99 which only covers this 1 phone call i got it working. of course i get a guy who does not speak good English. if i have to do this again im buying a new router. im done with phone tech support. there impatient i was ready to hang up. basicy 1 of the problems was i had 2 programs trying to manage the wireless network. had to go into a website and renter some info and bunch of other stuff. the main problem with the guy was when he said describe the icons. he says right click on the first icon then go click on this icon. is there a icon you should click on or whatever i couldn't understand. i go yeah. well click on it/ MAKE UP YOUR MINDIF I HAVE TO CALL AGAIN IM GOING TO SAY GIVE ME SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS ENGLISH. $30 for phone support which is only for that 1 call. if it quits again im buying a new router. screw phone tech support.

Of course, since you didn't actually ask for help here, I have no idea why you posted this. Perhaps reviews would be a better place to air complaints about customer service?

I'll move this over there.

OK, since this is "solved", and you seem to have a bee in your bonnet, let's closed this one.

Oh, and since this is a voluntary site, if making nothing really upset me, I wouldn't bother to do it. Or did you think that Mike held a gun to all of our heads and made us work here?

Lex,

This type of behaviour is not acceptable and you've been here long enough to know that. Disrepecting a moderator has earned you a 3-day time out. The next one will be permanent. And keep in mind creating a new account when banned is grounds for immediate permanent banning of both accounts.
