Laptop Suggestions Needed
I am looking to purchase (ASAP) a laptop for mostly office type applications (word, excel, quickbooks,etc....). I will be doing recordkeeping (and possibly some ad creation and web design) for 3 separate businesses. Doesn't need gaming capability, but I would like to have decent video and sound for personal use. Reliability and good customer service are a must. I have always personally had good luck with Dells, but now that I'm looking around, I'm not seeing good reviews, so..... ?????? I prefer to not purchase online unless I've seen it in person (gotta get a "feel" for things before I buy), and my price range is between $700-$900.

Suggestions? All help is MUCH appreciated!

I'd go to some local stores and "kick the tires" and then search for deals on-line. These places frequently list laptop deals...

Thanks! Are there any particular things I should look for, or stay away from?

Probably lots of things.

You need to first categorize the stuff that's important to you. Once you make a list and prioritize them, you'll be in a better position to make a purchasing decision.

Weight,
Size,
Battery Life
Graphics capability
Processor power
Memory
Windows version supplied,
Webcam and mike built in
etc.
