Z-5500 Sound System
Does anyone have it? Can you tell me most you can about it like should I wait until August for it to possibly go on sale and is it worth the hundreds of dollars you paid for it? How powerful is it? What is this "Matrix" mode? See where I'm going here? Please tell me everything you know about it if you have it! Thanks.

boomer,
you wanted a review? - here's mine

my experience with logitech was not a happy one - and i speak with my wallet

wanted another set of the klipsch 5.1 pro media - [but they don't make them anymore] - to put on my wife's new pc

bought that set - brought it home - hooked it up - tweaked it just right - shut the system down - my wife came home - turned the sytem on - speakers wouldn't work!!! - played aound with it some - found it wasn't powering up - called logitech - wanted ME to ship it to them, and NOT just the sub-woofer / power unit - the WHOLE works - [do you know what shipping is for that much weight?] - well, where i had bought it were easy enough to deal with - returned it - bought a set of these:

Klipsch ProMedia 2.1
http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/product...-2-1-overview/

and after dealing with the 'attitude' from logitech - versus the service you get with klipsch, i sure won't be helping logitech's sales figures any!!!

note: before you buy anybody's speakers, call their tech support and tell them you've got a set that's abour 3 to 5 years old, [something they can't just exchange - out of warrenty], - ask them if you can get the 'power supply board' REPAIRED 'cause they won't power up - or if you can even get a schematic - see what they tell you then [ i know what klipsch has done for me ]

yes, i'll pay a few dollars more from a reputable company that truely stands behind their product - and NOT just when it's brand new!!!

[just my opinion]

Well I have a set of Logitech X-540 speakers and they are brilliant. Not a single problem plug and play set up absolutely perfect. That is my opinion on Logitech.
