Recommendations for a laptop -HELP-
Right, so this is what i'm looking at.

I have anywhere between 1200 - 1800 dollars to spend for getting a new laptop. I would appreciate any recommendations for a good laptop within this price range. Preferably i'm looking for a high end laptop designed for entertainment purposes.

Purposes such as Music, video, internet browsing/chatting, webcam and disc burning. If able, I will get one good for gaming today's current gen games, however this is purely optional due to the fact that I own a desktop computer and a PS3, but I wouldn't mind taking a few PC games mobile.

I'm looking for two choices. A laptop below $1800 and one below $1200

My preferred website is www.newegg.com

Thank you.

Okay. So have a firm $1400 to spend on a gaming lap top, with dvd/cd burning capability. I need recommendations for good laptops within this price range.

Gaming and laptop are rarely uttered in the same breath. While there are some laptops that will be better for gaming, I really doubt you'll find any that will come close to a quality desktop machine for that use.

Of this, i'm aware. When I refere to a "gaming laptop" i'm referring to a laptop that has the graphic capability to handle playing games. I in no way expect a laptop to compete with my desktop.

Any laptop as long as you choose 2 up to 4GB RAM. And that is also lightweight at the same time.

Actually, that's totally incorrect! You most certainly want a laptop that does NOT share video memory with main memory, which most do. Since video performance is such a key part of gaming performance, one of the primary selection criteria will be the video chip and memory interface. Most modern laptops are already running reasonably speedy processors with at least dual-core, so that's not an issue. Memory can be added as well for very little money, but you can't add a good video chip or dedicated memory.
