Review of Tech Support Guy.org
Specifically this review is on the Mal-ware protection.

Well after many experiences with this site it's sad to say it's performance with me could of been better. I give it a 3/10.

Well I've had viruses so have many. I even have came to this site for help. Yet every time I actually make a thread. It's either Ignored after 12-15 bumps and never gets a reply, or after the fact i get no help i have to Reformat which is a PAIN. Now some argue that it is the best site. Well in my opinion i think Reformating is quicker than waiting for these people here to respond. What really bothers me is... the people that don't have serious Malware problems seem to get the MAJORITY help. Most of the help is copied and pasted anyways. Other problems include 70% of my threads were deleted. So that is my SHORT review.

sorry you didn't get any help, but you have to realize, this is a volunteer site. Thousands ask for help and only a very few are able to help. The sheer amount of malware overwhelms even the best sites to give help.
One can always go to a professional and pay for fixing a computer if it is urgent and you need it for business.
These helpers do it in their sparetime who have fulltime jobs.

Anyone is welcome to study Malware removal, we sure could use some more volunteers.

As noted, this site is volunteer....but also note that only people chosen for their skill are allowed to reply in the Malware Removal & HijackThis Logs forum...so they are quite over worked.

That's a lot of deleted threads in 4 days

I suspect there is a lot more to that story

Here is some good advice.....next time you format and reinstall......take a drive image of that partition. Often a reinstall from a drive image is on the order of 5 to 10 minutes, faster than trouble shooting and results in a system that's more trustworthy from a security pov. than malware removal.

Threads normally get deleted for a good reason. Perhaps you could be more specific?

You have five posts on this site. All five are there. How can 70% be deleted? If that were so, then you would only have 3 and a half threads on the forums, instead of five.

Unless you have made a second account? Hmmmmm???

You may want to look at a thread I started some time back. I am not allowed to help you as I am not part of the virus team, but I wonder if you have a rootkit virus. It could well be, but in the thread I started especially on page 2, there are some very specific instructions on how to deal with Rootkit viruses.
This is the link. Read it well before deciding to take any action.

I help more in the Business Applications side and I know how much work goes into supporting people and we give our time free. I can spend hours/days supporting just one person to solve their issue. There is nothing more upsetting than having people like yourself coming on criticising. The same applies to people who you spend ages helping and solving their problem and they don't even bother to thank you.

What I do know, is that the person I worked with on my problem for rootkit virus, was very helpful and patient and it took quite some time to get to a solution. You just have to be patient and wait your turn, or as already mentioned, go and pay for specialist support.
