Interested in knowing if anyone has tried using the services at MyCleanPC.com; if so...was it helpful or not? Please share comments? Have others used a similar toolset that works equal or better?

Hi,
Never used it myself, but the first few comments at this link would warn me away:

What are you trying to accomplish? If you explain, then members here can give you safe advice, and give helpful suggestions.

Wanted to know if "MyCleanPC" would also address driver update services. I terrifically burned by a prior driver updater program and wondered if MyCleanPC's evaluator/scan would direct me towards fixes. One of my problems has been a blue, or black screen; some would indicate the a CORRPUTED ERROR REPORT; or Session_3 INITIALIZATION ERROR; or Problem with Hard Disk Drive. All three cause me to do a hard shut down and then restart. Thus, wondering if services from a place like MyCleanPC would offer remedies....or, might my issue be that my video card is failing?

I don't think any of these type places are anything but a SCAM! The first clue is they want you to pay for this service.

John, I'm cool with your reply. Thus, your comment - please - with what remedies or steps I might take for my PC's desire to (weekly) go into a "blue screen", "disk drive failure: or occasionally "corrupt report". It isn't amusing that my last corrput report appeared to be connected to updates from the Microsoft Server Updates...so the steps asking me to debug the corrputed report points directly back at Microsoft - is it normal for M/S updates to create left-over errors?

the four steps I use for a 30k mile checkup:

1. Run ATF.
2. Run ntregopt
3. Run pagedefrag
4. Defrag the harddrive.

In that order.

de nada.......sorta what we're here for........as JW said, steer clear of random computer cleaners, and ALL registry cleaners. I've had to fix too many machines from people using registry cleaners and ended up with a nice doorstop.

Now me, I like registry cleaners-I can always use an excuse to buy a new computer!

(Except when I can't afford one-then I avoid registry cleaners like the plague they are.)
