Tufshop is tuf-luck I ordered a motherboard from tufshop. Got it about 7 days later.
After a quick look to see everything was in the box I put it away since the customer's other parts hadn't arrived.
When it came time to put the system together (3 day later)
I got the box out and opened the electrostatic plastic around the MB. This is when I noticed the corner had been smashed. Looking carefully at the box the item retails in
I noticed that indeed the corner had been crumpled and even a small hole was in the corner. I had not noticed this since I had not removed the MB from it's box earlier.
So I called Tufshop hoping they could get an RMA number to me fast. After finally getting through, I was told that their shipping department would not ship an item that was messed up, that I should contact UPS.
They took my number and said they'd call back.
After a while I decided to call again since I need this fixed fast.
They said hello and I said I had called earlier and they had taken my number, he said, "Oh, yes is this Frank?" (Obviously this is happening to others too), I said no and gave them my name.
He then told me that it was my word against the people that packed it, and that they never take damaged items back after 24 hours. He said it had been tested before it left. I wonder how that can be when the static wrap was taped down. Also they had thrown the CPU chip on top of the MB in the box instead of placing it under it in a space made to store extras. I am lucky it isn't smashed too.
So I wanted to warn others not to use them since if it is damaged
then tuf-luck. I think the only way to make people pay for their business actions it to let warn others, that way the company eventually gets the point to change their attitudes.
