Exclamation Multiple e-mail Notifications!!!!!!!
Anyone having a problem with multiple e-mail notification to a thread? I received 15 e-mails late yesterday 10/21 notifying me of posts to a thread. Also, the date the message was supposedly posted is today 10/22. This is spooky! Is this a Halloween thing going on?

When I get duplicates it happens because multiple people reply to a thread. It doesnt give multiple notifications for 1 thread until you visit the boards, then it sends new ones. So I click the link to go to the thread with a reply, read it and check mail again. When I check again, it will give emails for all the other replies to the threads. A couple people mentioned this in the thread "What Is This"

People were having trouble posting yesterday. I PM a mod about it and they got 6 e-mail Notifications but I still was not ever able to post. So I guess the e-mail Notifications is the first thing that happens when you post.

Today I received 10 "Reply to post" emails all for the same thread and same post. (There had only been one new post on that thread.) Also the emails were timed withing a few minutes of each other.

OK, I know for a fact that I sent Davey 3 PMs, even though I thought noen were sent. Since there has been a problem over the last few weeks, where the post screen is not going to the confirmation screen, and then back to the threads, people think their post is not registering. IT IS, but they push the Post button again, and again, and again, generating more replies to the original post, and therefore, creating more notification emails.

The next time you get duplicate notification mails, doublecheck that they are from the same person, and sent at the same time. If it is true duplictaes, they will all be exactly the same. If, however, they are not duplicates, you might notice that they have slightly different timestamps.

The individual only posted once and I received 15 e-mails, most within minutes of each other, advising me of the post. I know weird things can happen and I just wanted to pass this along to see if it was just me or if it was happening to others.

Hey buckaroo, it's just you, we're trying to drive you over the edge

Lol, same thing has been happening to me too.....I get notified of the new photo postings (read, beware ) and I received at least 10 from one poster attempting to post a photo....went to look and no photo was posted. Definitely must have been a site problem.......

Hello folks,

This has been happening to me ever since I joined the site.
I did post about it some time back, but no-one seemed very interested. At least, I am not the only one!
