10/24 Scheduled Maintenance
The Tech Support Guy site will be down and unavailable beginning around 6:00PM Eastern time on Thursday, October 24th. (<a href="http://www.time.gov/timezone.cgi?Eastern/d/-5" target="tsg_time_new">What time is it now?</a>)

This maintenance window will allow for vB and other security updates, log cleaning, database organization, etc.

If all goes to plan, I hope to have everything done between 8:00PM and 9:00PM Eastern time. Progress will be posted at http://www.techguy.org/ during the downtime.

If you have any comments or problems following this VERY large security update, please reply to this thread or email me privately.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!!

Hopefully, the updates will be completely invisible to all users. These updates were for security problems in both Linux and VB so that we can be as safe and secure as possible.

Thanks for the flattery, jimi!!

What's that about size, jimi?

Hi Mike, Dave and all:

I'm not sure if this is related, but as soon as the site was back up I had a graphics glitch. I have posted a screenshot of it here: http://forums.techguy.org/showthread...089#post585089 (post #4885)

Nothing has changed in my system as far as I know. Any Ideas?

I was going to see how many post pvc9 made this week and when you click on his post count http://forums.techguy.org/search.php...r&userid=39683 it takes you to http://forums.techguy.org/search.php...&searchdate=-1

Says...

TSG Forums Message
Please specify some words or valid user names to search on. There were no matches for those that you specified.

I click on other users count and they work ok.

Mike,

I just click on your post count and get the very same thing as I did with pvc9.

The first link was the post count under the user name that bring up that person post.
But it goes to the 2nd link.

Your post count is doing the same thing.
I use netscape 4.70 but it does the same on I.E. 5.1

Great work Mike, but I'm just curious you said clearing the logs and dealing with other issues. What logs did you clear? Is it something like the History or ??? Just curious
