I got used to the page refreshing when I went to different forums and back to Home....But today, using three different browsers, I had to Refresh by my own self...Anyone else getting this?

Hi,
Yes me too, threads I've read remaining in bold until I reload current page (Firefox13).

Please note which server you are on and let us know here in this thread. Very little can be tracked down without knowing which server has to be examined.

You'll find the name of the server you are currently on at the bottom left of the page.

Boy am I glad it's not just me. I mentioned this in the moderator's private area yesterday (which is when it started) but Mike probably hasn't seen it yet.

It happens in both Firefox 13.0.1 and IE8 and on all servers.

I just tested with IE9 and, yes, same problem. The title changes from black to blue, but it still shows as if there are unread posts.

Another clue has come to light.

Apparently the problem only occurs when using the back button. Other methods of returning to the main forum (clicking on the drop down menus at the top of the site or clicking on the forum link just above the thread title) seem to function properly and no manual page refresh is needed.

But I like using the back button.

Is this actually new?
It sounds like the behaviour I'd expect. The link changes colour because that's a browser side feature, but the bolding is done by the server. The browser is just reusing the cached page instead of getting a new one from the server, so it doesn't change the bold.
