Personally, the Java based utility is better for using on this site. I was really wondering about the possibility of using an IRC server in the unlikely event of TSG being unavailable.

A gathering of lost souls, so to speak.

That would mean, of course, that it couldn't be directly run from any of MIke's machines, because, if they were running, TSG would be up and we would have no need of going anywhere else.

You know... I agree with Mike completely.
As much as I love mIRC as a chat program, it is not a safe environment and needs to be monitored 24/7, which at this point might be hard.

I would also like to suggest that those of us who do have an IRC program loaded... that we open our own "room" on a specified server that is already open. Sort of an informal TSG. We can access a lock and password entry given to those we know at TSG only to keep most riffaf out. BUT in no-way would it reflect on TSG's site, just in case.

What do you think?
